Sunday 27 May 2012

Hi everyone,

Hope your week has been good. Ours has been busy and hectic, but that's a good thing... because we are officially OPEN! We thank you for all your well wishes during our opening on Friday.

Here is a picture of the sake barrel breaking ceremony (Kagami Biraki), which is a traditional Japanese ceremony to welcome good luck.

So come on down and experience Kinsa for yourself!
Do let us know any feedback/comments you might have. Be it good or bad, we appreciate if you could give us your honest opinion :)

We look forward to seeing you!

Just but one more day...

Hi Everyone!

How did your Thursday morning go? Perhaps you were sleepy and dragging yourself to work/school in this great rainy weather… but here at Kinsa Sushi, we were pretty excited the whole morning! That’s because our very first batch of fresh supplies from the “Land of the Rising Sun” has arrived.

We spent the entire morning running through the quality of this maiden cargo. The anticipated supplies unfortunately, did not meet our standards in delivering premium dining experience to you, our valued customers. As such, we will be approaching other sources from Japan to enable us in bringing to you the finest cuisine.

So yes, we regret to inform you that Kinsa Sushi will not be opening on 18 May. We seek your understanding in allowing us to rectify this problem in order to bring to you, nothing but our best.

Please stay tuned for further updates and continue to be part of our journey with us.

Hi All,

We regret to inform everyone that opening date will be shifted to the 18 May 2012.
There are still a few pending licenses hence the delay.
We will however, still take in reservations.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, and look forward to seeing you this Friday.

Thank you.

Hello!

So we had alcohol tasting 2 weekends ago and we had the most interesting time! We learnt so much about the various types of Japanese alcohol - Sake.
Did you know there are really unique flavours like ginger and chilli ones? And they did not taste bad at all!

It was such an eye-opening experience given that most of us did not drink Sake before this. My favourite has got to be the sweet ones. Not a fan of the dry kind at all, but I've got to say that it's really smooth too.

We tried different flavours of umeshu as well as rice wine. Rice wine sounded funky to me at first - the one kind that I was aware of was used in cooking - but it was super smooth and pleasant! I was surprised!

Look at the amount of alcohol that we tasted!

You will be pleased to know we have selected quite a variety to house at the restaurant.
Whether you enjoy a super dry drink, or a sweet one, we have brought in many for you to have your pick.

Have a great weekend everybody!
